Thank you, maize, for the invite code! I tried, really I did, to navigate the paypal labyrinth just the other day, attempting to buy a paid account. But my patience for such things is very, very thin anymore. Now I can send a money order at my leisure, and not worry that someone else will have taken my African spider-god trickster handle(133) before I could claim it.
This is not my first attempt to move away from LiveJournal. I have another blog over here that I've tried to put things where I care less if they're being read. Plus another few moribund accounts in other LJ based sites. I even think my Kuro5hin account is still there. Five years didn't used to feel like such a long time!
I shudder to think if my posts to Seattle Community Network are still out there on teh intertubes someplace.
And before that, I think my BBS posts may exist on some dusty hard drive, transmitted at 300 and eventually 2400 baud.
Anyways, at least I don't have to learn a new interface this time (crosses fingers)
