Except the article I found on the internet about the care and feeding of these birds? it convinced me that this was not a pet, it was a wild animal and best left alone.

Human beings are feral creatures, quite dangerous and best left alone. Unless you think you're in the same social grouping, in which case we're quite happily domesticated animals and quite unlikely to murder you in your sleep.
